It will be an intense week for Daniele
Cazzaniga, who will take to the track at Spa-Francorchamps for the Belgian
round of the GT2 European Series, from June 26 to 28. The driver from Brianza
will be behind the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT2 for Team LP Racing,
teaming up with Gianluca Giorgi.
The team, led by Luca Pirri, is now a well-established
outfit that will compete against strong rivals in the prestigious support
series of the renowned 24 Hours of Spa, taking place this weekend at the
Ardennes circuit. Cazzaniga and Giorgi will participate as drivers of the #88
Audi in the PRO-AM class. Over the seven kilometers of the Belgian
circuit, five different manufacturers will compete in the two sixty-minute
races of the GT2 European Series — an element that adds even more excitement
and motivation to achieve strong results.
Track activity for the category will start early to
leave room over the weekend for the 24 Hours of Spa. On Thursday morning at
10:10 AM, GT2 drivers will hit the track for free practice, followed by
Pre-Qualifying at 4:30 PM.
Friday will kick off at 10:15 AM with Qualifying,
while the lights will go out for the first race of the weekend at 2:55 PM. On
Saturday morning at 9:20 AM, Race 2 will take place, bringing the GT2 weekend
to a close. Both qualifying sessions and races will be available to stream on
the official GT World YouTube channel.
