Porsche Sports Cup Suisse 2025: Big steps ahead for Andrea Galli in Mugello, scoring points in Race 1 and an unlucky retirement in race 2.

After Imola and Monza rounds, Andrea Galli took part in his third race weekend in the 2025 Porsche Sports Cup Suisse championship at the Mugello circuit. The driver trained by the DC Coaching & Management program made significant progress in race weekend management at the wheel of Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of Dinamic Motorsport.

It was a mixed weekend for the driver coached by Daniele Cazzaniga. While the results didn’t reflect the confidence he had in the car, Andrea’s competitiveness on track improved further compared to his previous two race weekends. After setting the fifth fastest time in qualifying for Race 1, Galli had to serve a 10-place penalty for a racing incident in the previous round of the series. Starting from fiftheen place, the driver in the #239 Porsche made an extraordinary first lap, gaining 10 positions. He fought in the top five and, thanks to excellent tire management throughout the 35-minute race, crossed the finish line in sixth place.

In Race 2, starting from ninth on the grid, Andrea had a good start and began to build a strong pace, setting the fastest lap in his class. The DC Coaching & Management driver was fighting for the podium, but a collision with two laps to go forced Galli to retire. A characteristic of this championship that it doesn’t allow us to finish on the podium again. The consistent pace through the race and the fastest lap demonstrate the speed of Galli, in addition to his personal growth as a driver.

Daniele Cazzaniga, DC Coaching & Management, commented at the end of the weekend: “I’m really pleased with Andrea’s progress; seeing him happy after the race was the outcome we wanted. Even if the results weren’t what we hoped for, his progress was remarkable. This was demonstrated by the great overtaking moves in both races, his tire management in Race 1, and his consistent battle for the podium in Race 2, including the fastest lap of his class. It was a weekend from which we took many positives.”
